From August 1, it has become very necessary for all users to get authentication done through Aadhaar-based facial recognition. EPFO issued a circular on 30 July 2025, under the new rules, now individuals can create and activate their UAN online through the Umang app. The most important thing about this is that there will be no need to contact the company in any way.

What to do to create a UAN, know.
The user will not have to bother to create a new UAN. This work can be done easily, but there will be no problem.
For this, first of all, both the UMANG app and the Aadhaar Face RD app will have to be downloaded.
After this, you will need to choose UAN allocation and activation on UMANG.
Then you will need to enter Aadhaa and your mobile number.
Then you can complete authentication with your face.
If there is no UAN already linked to Aadhaar, then a new UAN will be issued. It will be sent via SMS.
