How to Check EPF Balance Through SMS EPFO also offers an SMS-based facility, which lets you check your account details in a few seconds. Step 1: Open the SMS app on your phone. Step 2: Type the message in this format: ‘EPFOHO UAN’ Step 3: Send this message from your registered mobile number to 7738299899. By default, you will get a reply in English. However, EPFO supports several Indian languages. To receive messages in your preferred language, add the first three letters of the name of that language at the end of the message. For example: – To receive messages in Hindi, type: ‘EPFOHO UAN HIN’ – For Tamil, type: ‘EPFOHO UAN TAM’.
