The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has made new changes to make the claim process easier from April 1, 2025. EPF is a savings scheme for salaried employees that allows partial or full withdrawal after retirement or in cases like medical needs.

Members can submit their PF withdrawal claims either offline or online. For offline claims, employees can use a composite claim form (Aadhaar or non-Aadhaar). The full PF amount can only be withdrawn in cases of unemployment or retirement.

What is the process?

  • To file PF claim online, the employee must:
  • Have an active UAN and working mobile number.
  • Have Aadhaar, bank account, IFSC code, and PAN linked with UAN in EPFO record.

Steps to file claim online:

  • Log in to EPFO website with UAN and password.
  • Check if you can withdraw PF.
  • Choose the form – 31, 19, 10C, or 10D.
  • Confirm with OTP sent to Aadhaar-linked mobile number.

How to check claim status?

Steps:

  1. Log in to UAN portal with UAN and password.
  2. Click “Online Services” → “Track Claim Status.”
  3. Enter reference number to see status.
