The government has started a pension scheme for the working class. Under this scheme, every worker will get a pension of ₹3000 per month after turning 60 years old. To get the benefits, one has to apply under the E-Shram Yojana. There is no need to go anywhere for this. You can apply online and get the E-Shram Card from home. Along with the pension, workers can also get benefits from many other government schemes.

What is an E-Shram Card?

The E-Shram Card is made to identify workers in the unorganized sector. It gives them the benefit of a monthly pension along with insurance cover. Every worker gets a unique digital card under this scheme.

Who Can Apply?

Any worker from India can apply for an E-Shram Card. The age to apply is between 16 and 59 years. This scheme is for unorganized sector workers like Ola-Uber drivers, delivery workers of Amazon, Flipkart, etc.

How to Get an E-Shram Card?

The E-Shram Card can be made both online and offline. However, here is the online process to apply easily from home.

  1. Online Process to Apply for E-Shram Card
  2. Visit the official website: https://eshram.gov.in
  3. Click on “REGISTER on eShram” on the home page.
  4. Enter the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar and the captcha code.
  5. Answer YES or NO about being a member of EPFO or ESIC.
  6. Complete the OTP verification.
  7. Fill in your address and education details.
  8. Select your skills, type of business, and work.
  9. Enter your bank details and give self-declaration.
  10. Click the ‘Submit’ button.
  11. An OTP will be sent to your phone. Enter it and click ‘Verify’.
  12. Your E-Shram Card will be generated and can be downloaded.
