There’s a major update about the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi that farmers need to know. In Hamirpur district, Uttar Pradesh, many farmers are facing issues because their Aadhaar cards aren’t being updated. People are flocking to post offices to get their Aadhaar sorted out, but technical glitches are preventing updates. As a result, thousands of farmers are missing out on their Samman Nidhi benefits. Plus, the Kisan Pharma Registry work has also come to a standstill, leaving department officials stressed about the constant influx of farmers.

For several days now, there’s been a huge rush in Hamirpur district for Aadhaar card updates. Long lines of people can be seen at post offices and other places from morning till night, but many leave disappointed. In the main post office of Hamirpur city, crowds have gathered for days trying to get their Aadhaar cards updated or created, but with the server down, they often leave empty-handed.

Pension and ration services have also been affected. Many women are unable to access these services because their Aadhaar cards aren’t updated, and farmers can’t complete their Kisan Pharma registrations either. The operators at the post office are struggling, managing to process only about fifty to sixty cards a day, as each card takes around twenty-five minutes to complete.

Many individuals have reported that over the last few days, he has been trying to update his children’s Aadhaar information. Unfortunately, he has had to leave empty-handed due to the overwhelming crowds at the post office. In the Rath tehsil of the district, both farmers and women have expressed their frustration over the inability to update their Aadhaar. There has been quite a bit of conflict at the Aadhaar centers lately.

Issues Arising from Aadhaar Updates

In Hamirpur district, a large number of underprivileged individuals rely on Antyodaya benefits, but many are unable to receive their ration supplies because their Aadhaar information is outdated. Santosh, a resident of Kusmara village, shares that the local ration dealer is refusing to provide him with rations due to this issue. Many villagers are struggling to secure their rations. The situation is similar in Morakandar village, where residents, including Lakhanlal, are facing hardships.

Potential Halt to Kisan Samman Nidhi

In Hamirpur district, over two hundred thousand farmers benefit from the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. However, the failure to update Aadhaar is causing challenges for farmers trying to register for Kisan Pharma. Deputy Director of Agriculture, Harishchandra Bhargava, mentioned that only seventeen percent of farmers have completed their Kisan Pharma registration, while eighty-three percent are still pending. This could lead to a suspension of their Kisan Samman Nidhi benefits.
