Are you also an EPFO member? Then this article is for you. Have you not looked at your PF account balance in a while? Not sure how to do it? No worries! Today, we’ll share four super easy ways to check your PF balance. For the financial year 2023-24, the interest rate on PF accounts is 8.25 percent. You can also find out how much is being added to your PF account each month by checking your pay slip. Let’s dive into how you can check your Provident Fund balance.
Just give a missed call
If your mobile number is linked to your UAN, you can find out your PF balance by giving a missed call from your registered number to 9966044425. After the call, you’ll receive a few messages from EPFO that will show your PF account balance.
A quick SMS does the trick
EPFO members can also check their EPF balance and recent contributions by sending a text to 7738299899. Just type AN EPFOHO ENG from your registered number and hit send. The “ENG” stands for English, but if you want the info in another language, just use the first three letters of that language.
Umang app is super handy
Employees can easily check their PF balance by downloading the Umang app on their smartphones. This app was launched by the government to give citizens access to various services all in one place. You can submit claims, view your EPF passbook, and track your claims through this app. Just enter your phone number in the app and complete a one-time registration.
You can also take a look at the EPFO portal. Just head over to the EPFO website, click on the employees section, and then select member passbook. To view your PF passbook, enter your UAN and password. This will display your opening and closing balances, along with contributions from both you and your employer. You’ll also see the total from any PF transfers and the interest that’s built up. Plus, you can check your EPF balance right there in the passbook.
