How to download RC online
The government has provided two simple and effective ways to download your RC online:
Download RC from the Vahan Portal
First of all, go to the Vahan portal.
Click on ‘Online Services’ > ‘Vehicle Related Services’. Select your state and log in (via registered mobile number and OTP).
Fill in the vehicle registration number and chassis number.
Go to the ‘Download Document’ or ‘RC Print’ option (options may vary by state).
Your RC will appear on the screen, which can be saved in PDF.

Download RC from DigiLocker
Open the DigiLocker app or website.
Login via mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
Select Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
Go to the ‘Registration Certificate’ section and enter vehicle details.
The RC will be visible only if the name in your DigiLocker profile and the name on the RC match.
The RC downloaded from DigiLocker is legally accepted and frees you from the need to carry its physical copy everywhere.
