Delhi Traffic Alert: Heavy Jams Expected on These Roads on May 19, Check Now

The Delhi Traffic Police have confirmed that NH-8 and the Dhaula Kuan route will remain accessible for passengers heading to the airport.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: There is a big update for vehicle owners of Delhi. The Delhi Traffic Police has released a special traffic advisory concerning the summit rehearsal scheduled at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on May 19, 2026. This rehearsal is set to take place from 12 noon to 3 pm. During this period, traffic may be impacted on several major roads.

The Delhi Traffic Police has posted on its social media platform X, encouraging the public to plan their journeys ahead of time. According to the Traffic Police, there will be heightened security and traffic measures around Bharat Mandapam today. Consequently, movement on certain roads may be limited. Residents are advised to leave their homes early and consider alternative routes.

These routes may be affected

The Delhi Traffic Police indicated that traffic could be halted or slow-moving on SP Marg and Mathura Road. Therefore, individuals are encouraged to utilize the Ring Road and Vande Mataram Marg. Vehicles traveling from North to South Delhi can take the route via Rajghat and Sarai Kale Khan. For those heading from East to South Delhi, the path through Dhaula Kuan, Moti Bagh, and Bikaji Cama Place is recommended. People coming from East Delhi can opt for Sarai Kale Khan and the Barapullah corridor.

Special arrangements for those arriving at Bharat Mandapam

Parking facilities for visitors to Bharat Mandapam have been established near the Bhairon Temple. From there, individuals can enter through Gates 4 and 10. Cab and DTC bus stops will also be located near these entrances. Services like Ola, Uber, and other taxi options will be available. The traffic police have recommended that people use the Metro.

This appeal was made to the people

The Delhi Traffic Police have requested that individuals leave home at least 30 minutes earlier and check traffic updates on applications such as Google Maps. In case of any problems, people can contact the traffic helplines 1095 and 011-25844444.
