When will the salary go up?

The BJP government in Chhattisgarh has declared a 53 percent hike in the dearness allowance for government employees. During the budget presentation, they mentioned that the increased amount will start reflecting in employees’ accounts from April. So, the salary for March will be paid in April with the new DA included.

Dearness Allowance, or DA, is a benefit provided to employees to help offset the impact of inflation. Essentially, it’s a portion of their salary aimed at easing the burden of rising living costs.

1. This year, the government has set aside Rs 26,341 crore for capital expenditure, which is an 18 percent increase from last year.

2. They anticipate an additional revenue of Rs 2,804 crore, positioning Chhattisgarh as one of the financially robust states in India.

3. The total expected revenue for the state is Rs 1.41 lakh crore, primarily sourced from tax collections and central government allocations.

4. Chhattisgarh’s economic growth rate is projected at 7.51 percent, surpassing the national average of 6.5 percent.
