DA Hike: Good news for government employees. Chief Minister Hemant Soren can give a big gift to the government employees of Jharkhand. In the cabinet meeting to be held on Thursday, the Hemant Soren government can increase the dearness allowance (DA) of its employees by up to 2 percent. After this, the salary of government employees will increase. More than 3 lakh government employees and pensioners of Jharkhand will be happy.

The DA of the employees and the DR of retired employees i.e. pensioners will increase. This increase will be effective from January 1, 2025. That is, the employees will also get 5 months’ arrears. This proposal may be approved in the cabinet meeting to be held on Thursday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Hemant Soren. The Jharkhand Cabinet meeting was earlier scheduled to be held on May 7, but it was postponed due to some reasons. Now this meeting will be held on May 8 in the Council of Ministers room of Project Bhawan. This information has been given by the Cabinet Secretariat and Monitoring Department.

3 lakh government employees and pensioners will benefit

There are currently 1,62,931 regular government employees in Jharkhand. Apart from this, there are more than 1.58 lakh pensioners in the state. Both these categories will benefit from the 2 percent increase in DA. Not only this, the government is also going to digitalize the process of vigilance clearance. Now the employees will have to apply for vigilance clearance on the HRMS portal only. Earlier this process was offline, in which the file used to go from the department to the vigilance.

Now this entire process will be done online through HRMS. There will be a cabinet meeting in the Project Bhawan from 3 pm on Thursday. In this, along with the DA hike, about 2 dozen other important proposals can be discussed.
