If your pocket is unable to bear the expenses of your daughter’s marriage, then you do not need to worry now. The Uttar Pradesh Government has started an unprecedented scheme under which the government itself will provide financial help in your daughter’s marriage.
People are surprised to hear the name of this scheme, because in this, not just a little, but up to ₹ 1 lakh is being given! This scheme of the Uttar Pradesh Government is now considered no less than a boon for the poor and middle-class families. This initiative will provide significant relief to millions of families in respectably arranging their daughters’ marriages.
The government is assisting ₹ 1 lakh for the daughter’s marriage

The Uttar Pradesh government has given a big relief to the poor and weaker sections regarding the marriage of daughters under the ‘Chief Minister Mass Marriage Scheme’. Now under this scheme, the government is giving financial assistance of ₹ 1 lakh on the marriage of the daughter. Earlier ₹ 51,000 were given in this scheme, but the Yogi Adityanath government has almost doubled it!
Under this new system, now every eligible daughter
Will get ₹ 60,000 directly in her bank account, so that the family can spend according to their needs.
₹ 25,000 will be spent on essential wedding gifts so that the newlywed couple can get some useful items as a blessing.
₹15,000 will be used in organizing mass marriage so that the whole process can be completed smoothly and in a dignified manner.
The government says that this step has been taken to ensure social equality and respectable marriage of daughters. This scheme not only reduces the financial burden but also discourages social evils like dowry.
Who will be eligible
Only those families can avail of the benefits of this scheme whose annual income is ₹3 lakh or less. At the time of marriage, the age of the girl should be at least 18 years and the age of the boy should be 21 years, which is by the legal criteria of marriage.
The most special thing about this scheme is that it is open to all sections! Scheduled Castes, Tribe, Backward Classes, General Categories, and Minority Communities – all can take advantage of it. Not only this, widows or divorced women also come under the purview of this scheme, which also gives them an opportunity to make a new beginning in life. The application process has also been simplified now.
