Changes in Special FD
For information, let us tell you that many banks, including Indian Bank, are running special FD schemes. In these FDs, customers are being offered interest at a higher rate. Indian Bank is running special FD schemes of 444 days and 555 days. The last date to invest in these special FDs is 30 September 2025, while the last date to invest in IDBI Bank’s 444, 555, and 700-day special FDs is also 30 September 2025.

Registered Post merged with Speed Post
The Post Office has announced the merger of its domestic registered post and speed post services. This merger has become effective from 1 September 2025. This means that if you send any registered post through India Post within India on or after 1 September 2025, it will be delivered as speed post.
Last date to file ITR
For information, let us tell you that individuals and HUFs do not need to get their accounts audited. They can file their ITR till 15 September 2025. The last date to file ITR has been extended from 31 July 2025 to 15 September 2025.
Changes in SBI Credit Card
Amendments in the SBI Credit Card Rewards Program have come into effect from September 1, 2025. SBI credit card customers will not be able to earn reward points on spending on digital gaming platforms, merchants, and government-related transactions. At the same time, from September 16, all Credit Card Protection Plan customers will be automatically migrated to the updated plan variant at the time of their policy renewal.
