Bihar Election 2025: CCTV cameras will be installed at polling booths

Bihar Election 2025 Update: Preparations for the Bihar assembly elections are going on in full swing, for which all the political parties are looking very active. The Election Commission has also started preparations at its level. New polling stations have been set up, the list of which has also been released. The Election Commission will install CCTV cameras to maintain transparency in the assembly elections.

All booths will be equipped with CCTV during voting. According to a report, more than 1.50 lakh CCTV cameras will be installed across the state. If any kind of disturbance is attempted at the polling booth, the Election Commission will have all the records through CCTV. The office of the Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar has issued a tender and invited proposals.

CCTV cameras will be installed at every booth

All booths will be equipped with cameras to prevent any kind of rigging and maintain transparency in the Bihar assembly elections. The process of installing two or three CCTV cameras at each booth has started. In the earlier Lok Sabha elections in the state, CCTV cameras were installed at only a few selected booths.

At the entrance of the booths where the polling personnel and the line of voters are recorded. Along with this, photography and videography arrangements have been made at other booths. But this time, the Election Commission has decided to equip all the booths with cameras.

When will the assembly elections be held?

Preparations for the assembly elections in Bihar are going on at a very fast pace. The work of intensive verification of the voter list is almost on the verge of completion. Elections are likely to be held exactly after three monthss i.e. by the end of October. The Election Commission can now announce the date of elections soon. Bihar elections can be held in 3 to 4 phases. The election schedule can be announced in the last week of August.
