Eligibility, Documents, and How to Apply
To apply for this scheme, the woman must be an Indian citizen, aged between 18 and 70 years, and must have passed at least Class 10. If any of her family members is already an LIC agent, she cannot apply. Women from both rural and urban areas can join if they have all the needed documents like Aadhaar card, bank passbook, photo, and educational certificate.
To apply online, visit the official LIC website and find the Bima Sakhi Yojana section. Fill in the form with your name, date of birth, address, and contact details. Upload all documents clearly and submit the form. After submission, you will get a registration number. You can also apply offline at your nearest LIC office.
Once the application is approved, LIC gives training about policy details, customer communication, and document handling. After the training, women get an agent code and can start selling insurance in their area. LIC also supports and guides them regularly.
