Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, the central government provides financial assistance of ₹ 6,000 annually to eligible farmers. It is given in three equal installments of ₹ 2,000. Crores of farmers of the country take advantage of this. However, the benefit of PM Kisan Yojana has not yet reached many farmers. Now the government is making special arrangements to extend the benefits of the scheme to all eligible farmers.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has started the National Saturation Draw Eve for the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. This campaign will run till May 31, 2025! Its purpose is that no eligible farmer should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme. For this, every eligible beneficiary will be linked to the PM Kisan Yojana. This is a golden opportunity for you to ensure your eligibility.
What is PM-KISAN Yojana
The central government launched the PM Kisan Yojana in 2019. In this scheme, cash is sent to the farmers’ account through Direct Benefit Transfer, so that they can manage the crop and household expenses. The 19th installment of PM Kisan Yojana was released on February 24, 2025. It benefited 9.8 crore farmers. These included 2.4 crore women.
Earlier, the 18th installment was to be released in October 2024, and the 17th in June 2024. The government used to send installments every four months. The last installment came in February.
₹2,000 of the 20th installment can come to the farmers’ accounts in June 2025. This is a major financial support for the farmers.
What to do to get the 20th installment
If you want to get the next, i.e. 20th installment of PM Kisan Yojana, then you have to complete some extremely important actions:
Complete eKYC: It is mandatory to get Electronic KYC done. This ensures that the benefits of the scheme reach the right person.
Link Aadhaar to bank account: It is necessary to link your Aadhaar to your bank account. This facilitates Direct Benefit Transfer.
Get land records confirmed: It is mandatory to get your land records confirmed. This ensures that you are eligible for the scheme.
If farmers do not complete these necessary actions, they will not get the next, i.e. 20th installment of PM Kisan Yojana. This is a clear guideline which is extremely essential to follow.
Benefits will reach every eligible farmer
The official Twitter handle of PM-Kisan (@pmkisanofcial) has appealed to the farmers to visit their nearest Common Service Center (CSC) and complete these proceedings immediately so that the benefits of the scheme are not interrupted.
The government has asked the officials at the state level to speed up the process of verification of farmers in the villages so that financial assistance can be reached on time. This shows the complete commitment of the government that no eligible farmer should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme.
