PM Modi Svanidhi Credit Card Update: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced several major development initiatives in Kerala. He has launched the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Credit Card. On this occasion, he has launched three Amrit Bharat Express trains, including new train services. These government initiatives will improve connectivity between Kerala and neighbouring states and help small businesses. What is the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Credit Card?
The Prime Minister on Friday launched the Pradhan Mantri Svanidhi Credit Card. It is an interest-free revolving credit card linked to UPI. Street vendors and small businesses will be able to easily get loans and expand their businesses. Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Modi said that this card will be very beneficial for street vendors, hawkers and footpath workers across the country. Modi described it as a major step for the welfare of the poor. He expressed happiness that the scheme is being launched in Thiruvananthapuram, where the NDA won a landslide victory in the recent local body elections. Modi explained that earlier street vendors were forced to pay high interest rates even to borrow a few rupees.

Lakhs of people are connected to the banking system
But now the SVANidhi scheme has completely changed their lives. In the last 11 years, lakhs of people have been connected to the banking system. On this occasion, credit cards were distributed to over 10,000 beneficiaries in Kerala and 600 in Thiruvananthapuram. Prime Minister Modi said that credit cards were once reserved for the rich, but now they have reached street vendors.

This scheme ensures easy access to bank loans for the poor, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, women and fishermen. Where there is a lack of guarantors, the government plays the role of guarantor. The people of Bengal are being deprived of these benefits.
A developed Kerala is the foundation of a developed India
Modi also said that under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 4 crore houses have been built across the country, of which 1 crore are for the urban poor. In Kerala alone, about 1.25 lakh urban poor families have got permanent houses. The Prime Minister said that a developed Kerala is the foundation of a developed India. New trains will connect these states
The new trains will better connect Kerala with Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. This will ease travel and accelerate regional development. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the CSIR-NIIST Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship Hub. This hub will encourage new technologies, innovations and startups, creating new employment opportunities for the youth. Bengal is being deprived of all these benefits.
