Good news for everyone. The state government makes a big decision. The Chhattisgarh government has given a big relief to the people of the state before Holi today. The Vishnu Dev Sai government has announced a reduction in petrol prices in its second full budget.
Finance Minister OP Choudhary made a significant announcement today, revealing that petrol prices will drop by Rs 1. This move, which involves cutting VAT, is expected to provide some relief to residents of the state, even if it’s just a small amount.
During the presentation of the budget, the Chhattisgarh government highlighted this petrol price cut as a major benefit for the people. The new rates will take effect starting next month in April. Finance Minister OP Choudhary expressed confidence that the budget’s implementation will be swift and effective, noting the reduction in petrol prices and some tax cuts. He believes this budget will play a crucial role in combating Naxalism in the Bastar region.
Currently, petrol prices are over Rs 100 per liter in most cities across Chhattisgarh. In Raipur, the capital, petrol costs Rs 100.45 per liter, while in Rajnandgaon, it’s Rs 100.85. With this new budget announcement, prices are set to decrease statewide.
As of March 3, petrol prices in other major cities in Chhattisgarh included Rs 102.11 per liter in Bastar, Rs 101.18 in Balodbazar, and Rs 101.25 in both Bijapur and Bilaspur.
