This high-speed special train will run from October 11 to November 17, facilitating the travel of millions of passengers. Under this unique initiative, Northern Railways has announced the operation of several Vande Bharat Festival Special trains connecting major cities.
When will the Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special run
To meet the increased travel demand around Diwali (Diwali 2025) and Chhath Puja (Chhath Puja 2025), the Patna-New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special train is being operated. This unique facility will provide fast and comfortable travel to millions of passengers.

Operation Period and Days
Train No. 02253 (Patna-New Delhi Vande Bharat Special): This train will commence on October 11 and run until November 17, 2025. It will depart from Patna on Saturdays, Mondays, and Wednesdays.
Train No. 02254 (New Delhi-Patna Vande Bharat Special): For the return journey, this train will run from October 12 to November 16, 2025. It will depart from New Delhi on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. This special service will make 16 trips in both directions, significantly helping to handle the festive rush.

Patna to New Delhi (02253) Timings
The Vande Bharat Special Express (02253) will depart from Patna Junction at 10:00 AM sharp and will arrive at New Delhi Station at 11:30 PM, covering a journey time of 13 hours and 30 minutes.
New Delhi to Patna (02254) Time
The Special Vande Bharat Express (02254) will depart from New Delhi at 08:35 AM and arrive in Patna at 09:30 PM. The train will travel from Delhi to Patna in 12 hours and 55 minutes.

This Vande Bharat Special train will stop at major railway stations for the convenience of passengers. Its route has been designed to be extremely convenient for passengers. This high-speed train will stop at important stations such as Ara, Buxar, Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction (via Mirzapur), Prayagraj Junction, Kanpur Central, and Aligarh Junction.
