Bank Holidays : Big update for bank customers. Now the banks will be closed from today for up to three days. Yes you’ve heard it right. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) calendar, banks will remain closed on Saturday, April 12, 2025. Let us tell you that banks will remain closed for the next 3 days from today, as it is a weekend and public holiday. However, the state-wise holiday is different. Thus, banks will remain closed on April 12, April 13 and April 14, which will be a three-day holiday for bank branches.

Why will banks remain closed for the next three days?

April 12 is the second Saturday, which is a holiday as per RBI instructions. Similarly, banks will remain closed on April 13 as it is Sunday. April 14 is a public holiday on the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti. However, banks will not remain closed in all states.

Online Banking Service

During this period, online banking services will continue as usual without any interruption. This allows people to carry out online transactions, bill payments and other online services available on the online platforms of these banks.

Holiday in Stock Market in April

The stock market will remain closed for 11 days in April including Saturday and Sunday. Apart from this, the market will also remain closed for three public holiday.

April 18 (Friday)– Good Friday.

Let us tell you that, according to the RBI website, the branches in Bhopal Regional Office, Kohima Regional Office and New Delhi Regional Office, Raipur Regional Office, Shillong Regional Office, Shimla Regional Office will remain open on Monday. That is, apart from these banks, the branches of banks in other parts of the country will open directly on Tuesday after Friday.

Apart from this, the branches under Agartala Regional Office will also remain closed on 15th April, Guwahati Regional Office on 15th and 16th April, Itanagar and Shimla Regional Office on 15th April.
