Only in Himachal Pradesh will banks be closed on October 10th for Karva Chauth. There is no bank holiday in other parts of the country and states. Bank employees will work as usual in all states except Himachal Pradesh.

October 18: Banks in Assam will remain closed for Kati Bihu.

October 20: Banks will remain closed in Tripura, Gujarat, Mizoram, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh (UT), Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, Assam, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Nagaland, West Bengal, Delhi (NCT), Goa, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and Andhra Pradesh for Diwali, Narak Chaturdashi and Kali Puja.

October 21: Banks in Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Sikkim, Manipur, Jammu and Srinagar will remain closed for Diwali Amavasya (Lakshmi Puja), Deepawali and Govardhan Puja.

October 22: Banks in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar will remain closed for Diwali, Vikram Samvat New Year’s Day, Govardhan Puja, Balipadyami and Lakshmi Puja (Diwali).

October 23: Banks in Gujarat, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Himachal Pradesh will remain closed on account of Bhaidooj, Chitragupta Jayanti, Laxmi Puja, Bhatridwitiya and Ningol Chakkouba.

October 27: Banks in West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand will remain closed on account of Chhath Puja (evening puja).

October 28: Banks in Bihar and Jharkhand will remain closed on account of Chhath Puja (morning prayers).

October 31: Banks in Gujarat will remain closed on account of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birth anniversary.

Apart from this, banks are also closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month.
