According to the RBI, banks will remain closed on April 15th in Tripura, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Kerala, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh due to the New Year and other festivals.
Bengali New Year (Poila Boishakh), Bohag Bihu, and Vishu are festivals celebrated in various states across the country. These festivals mark the arrival of the new year and the harvest. In Assam, Bohag Bihu is a festival of agriculture and prosperity.
April 15th Bank Holiday
Many cities across the country will observe a bank holiday on April 15th. Banks will be closed in Agartala, Guwahati, Itanagar, Kochi, Kolkata, Shimla, and Thiruvananthapuram. Banks will remain open throughout the country, except for these cities.
