Banks will be closed next week in December

Various states will observe bank holidays during the third week of December. On Thursday, December 18th, all banks in Meghalaya will be closed to commemorate the death anniversary of Khasi poet U Soso Tham. Banking operations will be halted in the state on this day. In Goa, banking services will be unavailable on Friday, December 19th, in observance of Goa Liberation Day. Both public and private banks in Goa will be closed, which means customers won’t be able to visit branches to conduct their business.

Banks will be closed for 5 days

In Sikkim, banks will be closed on Saturday, December 20th, for the Losung Namsung festival. They will also be closed on Sunday, December 21st, for the weekly holiday. Additionally, banks will remain closed on Monday, December 22nd, due to the Losung or Namsung festival in Sikkim. As a result, branch services will be unavailable for three consecutive days in Sikkim.
