What to do if your bank account suddenly gets closed? Many people do not know about this. But now, Punjab National Bank has given a warning to its customers. The bank said that those who have not updated their KYC must do it before August 8. If not, their bank accounts will be closed.

What Did PNB Say?

Punjab National Bank has clearly said that all customers who were told to update their KYC by June 30, 2025, but have not done it yet, must do it by August 8. If not, their accounts will be frozen. After that, you will not be able to deposit money, withdraw cash, or do any transaction. So, it is important to update your KYC before this date.

What Documents Are Needed?

To update your KYC, you need to submit:

  • Aadhaar card, voter ID, or passport (for identity)
  • Address proof
  • PAN card
  • Recent passport-sized photo
  • Income proof
  • Mobile number

How to Update KYC?

Punjab National Bank has given four easy ways to update KYC:

  1. Visit the nearest PNB branch with the documents.
  2. Use the PNB ONE mobile app to upload your KYC details.
  3. Log in to the PNB official website and update KYC there.
  4. Send your KYC documents to your home branch by email or post.

If you fail to update your KYC in time, your account will be frozen. You will not be able to use digital banking, withdraw money, or deposit funds.
