What is Baal Aadhaar

Baal Aadhaar Card is a special Aadhaar document issued for children below the age of 5 years. Biometric information such as fingerprints and eye scans is not taken from children of this age, because this data is not completely stable. Only the child’s photo, name, date of birth, and parents’ information are recorded on the card. This card is blue, which makes it easy to identify.

You can get Baal Aadhaar made by visiting any Authorized Aadhaar Service Centre. In many government and private hospitals, an Aadhaar enrolment facility is available at the time of birth, where birth certificates and Aadhaar are made together. This process is very convenient and parents do not need to go to the Aadhaar centre separately.

Attach photocopies of all the documents and give them to the staff.

They will check these and verify the original documents. The child’s photograph will be taken at the center itself. Since biometric data is not captured, the photograph is the main identification.
