8TH PAY COMMISSION: Central employees across the country are waiting for the increased salary under the 8th Pay Commission. However, they will have to wait a little longer for this. Benefits to pensioners
Amid the ongoing wait of central employees for the formation of the panel, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had said last month that apart from defense personnel and related pensioners, more than 36 lakh central employees and pensioners will benefit from the 8th Pay Commission. she said that the government has decided to constitute the 8th Central Pay Commission (CPC). However, the time for submitting its report to the government will be decided later.
How much will the salary increase?
Let us tell you that the government has not yet decided any formula for deciding the salary under the 8th Pay Commission. However, some media reports have said that the salary of central employees may increase due to the high fitment factor in the 8th Pay Commission. These reports claim that the range of fitment factor in the new pay commission can be between 2.28 and 2.86. This can potentially lead to a 40 to 50 percent increase in the basic salary.
