MP Govt Scheme For Farmers: This is a golden chance for the youth of the district who want to become self-reliant by starting a large dairy business. Dairy farms can be set up with help from the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana run by the state government.
People can apply online at https://dbaky.mp.gov.in. Under this scheme, the government gives a 33% subsidy on the unit cost to SC and ST beneficiaries, and up to 25% to general category beneficiaries.
According to the Deputy Director of Animal Husbandry and Dairying, a unit with 25 dairy animals can be started under this scheme. The maximum cost of the unit is ₹42 lakh. The benefits are given on a first-come, first-served basis. To set up a dairy unit, the beneficiary must have at least 3.5 acres of agricultural land.

How much subsidy will be provided?
Under the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana, farmers or youth can start a dairy unit with 25 milch animals. They can take a loan of ₹36 to ₹42 lakh from the bank. The government gives a subsidy of 25% to 33%, depending on eligibility. This scheme mainly helps young people who want to make animal husbandry a stable and profitable business.
Will the loan be given in three phases?

- The loan period is fixed at 7 years

Eligibility criteria for the scheme
- The beneficiary must raise 25 animals of the same breed (such as indigenous cows, Shankar breed cows, or buffaloes).
- Mixed-breed animals are not eligible for subsidy.
- The applicant must have at least 3.5 acres of land.
- The land can be self-owned, family-owned, or rented, but it must be within the same tehsil.
