Aadhaar Update: The new era is being characterised by digitalisation, in which every aspect of work is being made easier. The government is taking a significant step to prevent any fraud or corruption-related activities. Meanwhile, if you are an Aadhaar cardholder and are thinking of updating it, then do not worry.

You can easily update your Aadhaar card from home, ensuring there are no issues. Now, you will no longer need to visit the centre to update your Aadhaar card. UIDAI is preparing to launch a new mobile app.

No need for a photocopy

According to news published in media reports, a system is being introduced that will eliminate the need to provide a photocopy of the Aadhaar card. UIDAI has also prepared an app. It will give the facility to share the entire Aadhaar or masked Aadhaar through a QR code. With its help, you will also be able to share your electronic Aadhaar card with anyone. It is believed that this process will begin in November, bringing significant convenience to the people.

The facility will start soon.

By November 2025, tasks such as updating information in the Aadhaar card, detailed verification, and biometric update will be easily done from home. Through new technology, the system will also easily retrieve other information from databases, such as birth certificates, matriculation certificates, driving licenses, passports, PAN cards, PDS, and MNREGA.

This will make the investigation easier and will also stop the use of duplicate documents. According to officials associated with UIDAI, preparations are going on to link the electricity bill database to this system. This will make the system even more straightforward.

CEO gave information

UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar, speaking to The Times of India, shared information about the new app for Aadhaar cardholders. Out of 1 lakh machines, approximately 2,000 machines have now been equipped with the new tool.
