Aadhaar Card– Aadhaar card is not just an identity card. But it is also necessary to join many government schemes and services. It is as important for children as it is for adults. But many people ignore an important update process. Which can have a direct impact on the child’s Aadhaar.

Let us tell you that UIDAI instructs to update Aadhaar related information from time to time. In case of children, update is mandatory due to change in their age and photo. If this process is not completed on time, then there may be problem in availing many services in future.

Along with name, address and photo, biometric information is also recorded in Aadhaar. For small children, biometrics are not taken at the time of initial registration. This is the reason that as the child grows up, UIDAI has made a rule to update this data after a certain age.

According to UIDAI rules, if a child’s Aadhaar card is made at the age of less than 5 years, then when he/she turns 5 years old, the photo and biometric details have to be updated in it. And after this, when he/she turns 15 years old, the same details have to be updated again.

If a child’s Aadhaar is not updated within the stipulated time, then his/her Aadhaar can be temporarily deactivated. That is, it cannot be used again until it is updated. The process of updating is also very easy. You have to take the child to your nearest Aadhaar service center. Where his biometric data, photo and other necessary details are re-entered. Please note that no fee is charged for this.
