You can share the full Aadhaar or masked (hidden) Aadhaar if you want. Actually, many things related to the Aadhaar card are going to change. All this will be possible with the new app.

According to a report, by November you will not even need to go to the Aadhaar centre. UIDAI is going to introduce a new method. In this method, your information will be taken from the database of Economic Certificate, 10th Certificate, Driving License , Passport, PAN Card, PDS and MNREGA. This will make it easier for people and the possibility of getting Aadhaar made with fake documents will also be reduced. There is also talk of accessing the electricity bill database, which will provide more convenience.

You will be able to do this work sitting at home

UIDAI CEO Bhuvnesh Kumar said that a new app has been created. Out of about 1 lakh machines, 2000 machines have been updated to the new tool. He said, ‘Apart from giving fingerprint and IRIS, you will be able to do everything else from home.’ This means that you can change your address, phone number, change your name and even correct your wrong date of birth from home.

What does the new update mean?

The aim of introducing the facility of transferring Aadhaar from mobile to mobile or app to app through QR code is to prevent its misuse. It can be used for many purposes, from checking in at a hotel to verifying identity in a train. Kumar said, ‘It gives you more control over your data and it can be shared only with your consent.

This facility can also be used by sub-registrar and registrar at the time of property registration. Often, there is fraud in property registration. Kumar said that UIDAI is making state governments aware to use Aadhaar to verify the identity of those registering property, so that fraud can be prevented.

He also informed that UIDAI has started talking to CBSE and other examination boards. UIDAI wants to update biometric and other information of children. This update is necessary to be done between the ages of 5 to 7 years and then 15 to 17 years. UIDAI is planning to run a special campaign to complete 8 crore missed cases of first update (for children aged 5 to 7 years) and 10 crore missed cases of second update.
