8th Pay Commission- There is good news for the employees who have become clerks in the railways. The employees who were promoted from Level 1 to Babu post had missed a test, due to which their increment was stopped. The Personnel Department has decided to give relaxation in the same.
Giving relief to the employees of the ministerial cadre, the Railway Board has decided to give them another chance for the Typewriting Test. This decision has been taken in the interest of those employees who could not appear in the examination in the stipulated time, because at that time there was a lockdown due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to the order of the Railway Board, on the issues raised in the meeting with the employees’ organization AIRF, it has been decided that those employees who did not pass the typing test before September 2022 and have one or two attempts left, they will be given an additional chance. This facility is for those employees who did not take the exam in the stipulated time due to the pandemic or other difficulties.
The department has clarified that this exemption will be applicable only to those employees who have attempted the typing test earlier and still have a chance left. Under this exemption, candidates will be allowed to make an additional attempt, provided the concerned GM examines the individual cases and approves. The Railway Board has also clarified that this opportunity will be available by taking advantage of the provisions of exemptions issued under the order, but this will be done only once and it will not be adopted permanently.
Apply early to avail the extra benefits
Employees have been asked to apply soon to avail this additional attempt of Typing Test and complete the process with all the required documents. This decision is likely to bring relief to thousands of employees who were waiting for the exam for a long time.
