Bihar STET 2026 Registration: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has initiated the online application process for the Secondary Teacher Eligibility Test (Bihar STET). Candidates aspiring to become government teachers and preparing for this exam can submit their applications online until August 31, 2026.

How to Apply for Bihar STET Online?

Visit the official BSEB STET portal at stetregistration.cbrt.co.in.
Click on the ‘STET 2026 Registration’ link provided on the homepage.
Enter your mobile number and email ID, and create a password.
Log in and fill in your personal, educational, and address details.
Scan and upload your latest passport-sized photograph and signature in the prescribed size.
Pay the online application fee.
Finally, submit the form and keep a printout of the confirmation page.

What are the eligibility criteria?

To appear for the Bihar STET 2026 exam, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, they must have completed a B.Ed., M.Ed., B.A. B.Ed., or B.Sc. B.Ed. (or equivalent) program from an NCTE-recognized institution. Regarding age limits, candidates must be at least 21 years old; the maximum age limit is 37 years for male candidates and 40 years for female candidates. Candidates belonging to reserved categories are granted age relaxation as per the rules. Age will be calculated as of August 1, 2026.

Bihar STET Eligibility: Who can apply?

For Bihar STET Paper 1, candidates must possess a graduation degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks, along with a B.Ed. qualification. This paper is for teaching positions for Classes 9 and 10.

For Paper 2, a Master’s degree in the relevant subject, along with a B.Ed. qualification is required. This paper is for teaching positions for Classes 11 and 12.

A separate provision regarding the B.Ed. requirement has been made for the Computer Science subject. Additionally, candidates belonging to SC, ST, EBC, BC, and differently-abled categories are granted a 5% relaxation in the required academic marks.
