Yamaha Nmax 155 – The Indian two-wheeler market is no longer limited to just commuter bikes. People’s choices are changing, needs are changing and style too. Yamaha Nmax 155’s entry is under discussion amid this changing trend. It is not a common scooter, but is preparing to deliver a complete Maxi Scooter Experience.

Look

Yamaha Nmax 155’s design is such that it feels “big” and “premium” at first glance. It gives off a feel similar to the larger scooters seen on the roads of Europe and Thailand.

Its front is given a wide apron with twin LED headlights fitted. The long blacked-out windscreen on the top gives it a Tall and Bold Stance. Central spine and clean tail section draw attention when viewed from the side.

Engine

Yamaha Nmax 155 gets a 155cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This is the same engine platform seen in the Yamaha R15 and Yamaha Aerox 155.

This engine generates power of about 14.9 bhp and torque of 13.5 Nm and is connected to the CVT gearbox. The special thing is that this engine is refined, revs quickly and is also a fuel efficient.

Features

Talking about features, Yamaha Nmax 155 can get features like All-LED Lights, Digital Instrument Cluster and Bluetooth connectivity. Information such as speed, trip details and smartphone connectivity can be easily seen in digital displays.

Also a feature like remote boot release makes it more practical. The version to be launched in India is also expected to get dual-channel ABS, which will be a big plus point in terms of safety.

Suspension and Braking Setup

Yamaha Nmax is based on 155 underbone chassis. It has a telescopic fork in the front and twin shock absorbers in the rear. The 13-inch wheels give it a stable ride. Disc brakes are found on both the front and back, increasing confidence in braking.

Price and Launch

Talking about its launch, Yamaha Nmax 155 is expected to be launched in India by March 2026. Its potential price can be between ₹1.6 lakh to ₹1.7 lakh (ex-showroom). This price segment puts it in the premium scooter category. That is, it is for those who want bike-like power and premium feel even in scooters.
