Yamaha Launches 5-Year Roadside Assistance : Yamaha has launched a new facility for its customers on completion of 40 years in India. The company is now offering a special roadside assistance service to all its customers, which will be available 24 hours a day across the country. The validity of this service will be for a full five years and for this the customers will have to pay only ₹ 975.
Immediate help in case of any problem on the way
If the vehicle ever breaks down on the way, the tire gets punctured or the battery goes down, then this service will help immediately. This includes towing facility in case of accident or breakdown, minor repairs, puncture repair, starting the battery and medical help if needed.
Better reliability with 10 years warranty
The company says that this new facility is completely in sync with their recently launched 10-year warranty scheme, which includes 2 years of standard warranty and 8 years of extended warranty.
Yamaha’s entry in electric scooter segment
On the other hand, Yamaha is now also entering the electric scooter segment. Recently the company has been seen testing a new electric scooter, whose design and technology is based on River Indie. This scooter will be manufactured at the River company’s plant located in Bengaluru. Its manufacturing is likely to start this year and its market launch is expected by the end of 2025.
Huge investment in River Mobility
Yamaha invested around $ 40 million (about Rs 335 crores) in River Mobility in early 2024. Its purpose is to take advantage of River’s expertise in electric vehicle technology. Under this partnership, Yamaha will get a chance to manufacture scooters based on River Indie’s platform under its own brand.
