Upcoming Mahindra SUVs: Indian roads have traditionally been ruled by Mahindra’s no-frills and utilitarian SUVs. With demand continuing to rise, Mahindra is set to introduce three new models which have already been spotted testing. With refreshed design and anticipated contemporary features, the new SUVs are set to maintain the brand’s competitive edge in a competitive marketplace.

Thar Facelift Spotted Testing

Mahindra is developing an in-cycle facelift of its legendary off-roader, the Thar 3-door. The next facelift, likely to arrive in 2026, has been caught under test in India. The new car will take styling inspiration from the Thar Roxx, such as a new grille, restyled bumpers, updated headlamps, and new tail lamps. While the exterior design receives a massive overhaul, no updates are likely to the SUV’s powertrain.

Bolero to Have a Complete Overhaul

Mahindra’s stalwart and tough Bolero SUV is also in line for a makeover. Sources indicate that the next-gen Bolero will be built on the New Flexible Architecture (NFA) platform and will hit the roads in 2026. Design cues include round headlights, a tough-looking bumper, a spare wheel mounted on the tailgate, and a new rear fascia. Internally, the cabin will be more upmarket with the introduction of a fresh dashboard design, a sunroof, and a bigger infotainment display to elevate the driving experience.

XUV700 Facelift in the Pipeline

Mahindra is not giving its high-end SUV a miss either. The XUV700 facelift has already been seen cruising around Indian roads with heavy camouflage. The new version will feature a fresh front grille, redeveloped headlamps, new bumpers, and new alloy wheels. Like the other two models, no mechanical updates are likely in the powertrain. The facelift is also expected to go on sale in 2026.

Expected Launch Timeline and Strategy

All three of these SUVs—Thar facelift, Bolero facelift, and XUV700 facelift—are set to arrive in 2026. The cars are designed to maintain Mahindra’s pole position in the Indian SUV market while providing new styling and contemporary elements to their current fan following. With testing already in process, these vehicles are poised to generate excitement much before they get an official launch.
