TVS Raider Becomes Youth Favourite – 1.9 Million Units Sold With Sporty Looks & High Mileage

The TVS Raider 125, which has been a force to reckon with on Indian roads with its speed and killer looks, has once again created history. In less than five years, this sporty bike from TVS has surpassed the sales milestone of 1.9 million units. Launched in 2021, it has become the preferred choice of Indian youth.

Its success can be gauged from the fact that this model alone accounts for nearly 31% of TVS’s total motorcycle sales. With its high-tech features and unmatched mileage, the Raider has given rival companies a run for their money in the 125cc segment.

Unwavering trust of 1.9 million customers

As of May 2026, the TVS Raider has sold over 1.62 million units in the domestic market and approximately 2.86 lakh units internationally. This bike performed exceptionally well in the financial year 2024-25, when its demand more than doubled compared to the previous year.

Today, it is the preferred choice of youth not only in small towns but also in metropolitan areas of India. The biggest reason for its growing popularity is its sporty design, which makes it quite different and modern from older and more ordinary-looking 125cc bikes.

Powerful Engine and Excellent Mileage

The TVS Raider 125 is designed to be agile in city traffic and provide a comfortable ride even on long distances. It is powered by a 124.8cc air- and oil-cooled, 3-valve engine that generates 11.4 hp of power and 11.75 Nm of torque.

Accelerating from 0 to 60 km/h in just a few seconds, it easily reaches a top speed of 99 km/h. The most notable feature is its fuel economy, which ranges from 56 to 60 km/l, making it ideal for both your hobby and your budget.

Variants and Features

TVS offers the Rider in several variants to suit different customer needs. Starting with the Raider Drum variant, priced at approximately ₹82,860, the single-seat and split-seat variants are available, priced between ₹87,000 and ₹92,000.

For tech enthusiasts, the company has introduced the Raider iGO and Raider TFT variants. The top-end model, priced at approximately ₹98,550 (ex-showroom), offers premium safety features like smart connectivity and ABS.

What sets this bike apart is its cutting-edge technology. Its top variant gets a 5-inch color TFT screen, which offers features like call alerts, message notifications, and turn-by-turn navigation. SmartConnect technology offers over 99 connected features.

For the first time in the segment, it has riding modes like ‘Eco’ and ‘Power’. ‘Eco’ mode provides better mileage, while ‘Power’ mode transforms the bike into a sporty machine. Additionally, the new iGO Assist feature provides additional torque during overtaking.
