TVS Motor Company is now poised to make a major foray into the world of adventure biking. The company has officially announced the launch of its new model, the TVS Apache RTX 300 ADV, on October 15th. Based on the theme “Mount Up for the Mountains,” this bike will be TVS’s first adventure touring motorcycle. It is specifically designed for riders who enjoy long distances and adventures in hilly or off-road terrain.

Design
The TVS Apache RTX 300 has been designed with adventure riding in mind. It is expected to feature a tall windscreen, a large fuel tank, and a stunning 5-inch full-color TFT display with advanced features like Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The bike is also expected to feature ride modes, traction control, switchable dual-channel ABS, and a full LED lighting system. Overall, its appearance will be so premium and powerful that it will instantly appeal to any adventure rider.

Chassis and Suspension
The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to be built on a sturdy steel trellis frame, providing improved stability and control. The 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, equipped with dual-purpose tires, will ensure a comfortable ride on highways and excellent grip on hilly terrain. The bike is expected to feature USD forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear, which will provide a comfortable ride while easily absorbing shocks.
Engine and Power
The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to be powered by the company’s new 299cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder RT-XD4 engine. This engine will generate approximately 35 bhp of power at 9,000 rpm and 28.5 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It is expected to have a six-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch, making gear shifting smooth and controllable.
Pricing and Competition
The TVS Apache RTX 300 is expected to be priced around ₹2.5 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch, it will compete directly with bikes like the KTM 250 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450. The company’s strategy is clear, it wants to offer an adventure bike that is the perfect choice for Indian riders in terms of power, features, and value-for-money.

Launch Date and Event
TVS has set the launch date for October 15th, and the event will be held under the theme “Mountain Up for the Mountains.” It is believed that the company may also organize test rides or demo sessions for the biking community.
