Interestingly, the Triumph Tracker 400 exists in the international market, but the company is adopting a different strategy for India. Actually, according to the new GST rules, bikes above 350cc are taxed up to 40%. This is the reason why Bajaj Auto and Triumph are developing a new 350cc engine from the 400cc platform itself.

The purpose of this downsized engine is to make the Tracker more price-competitive, so that it can reach more buyers along with giving a premium feel. Power will be a little less, but overall performance is not expected to make a huge difference in feel.

Design

Triumph Tracker’s design is going to be its biggest feature. This bike is inspired with classic flat-track motorcycles, ie clean lines, minimalist body and a raw, no-nonsense attitude.

Its silhouette would not be too bulky, but would look slim and purposeful exactly like the old race track bikes used to be. This design will identify it differently from the crowd and attract those who prefer timeless style more than flashy graphics.

Engine

The new 350cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine is expected to be found in the India-spec Triumph Tracker. The engine will come with a 6-speed gearbox and will also be given slip-and-assist clutch, making it easier to ride in city traffic.

Although the power figures have not yet surfaced, it is clear that Triumph wants to offer this bike not just in the race of numbers, but as a balanced performance. Smooth throttle response, linear power delivery and relaxed cruising.

Features

Speaking of features, the Triumph Tracker 350 will be completely modern, but without extra show-off without need. It will get full-LED lighting setup, which will improve both visibility and look.

Semi-digital instrument will give clear information to the console rider. There will be features standard such as Ride-by-wire throttle, traction control and dual-channel ABS, making it a strong contender in this segment. This bike uses technology in a subtle way such as a good watch, which looks simple but quite advanced from the inside.

Launch

The official date for the Triumph Tracker 350 launch has not yet been revealed, but it is believed to be launched in India after the Bonneville 350 debut.

Talking about positioning, this bike will be placed above the Speed 400. That is, it will be for riders who want a little more character and unique styling than Speed 400, but do not want to go towards too heavy or expensive bike.
