Toyota Land Cruiser FJ : Toyota is once again going to add a new model to its famous Land Cruiser series, which will be introduced globally early next year i.e. 2026. This new model can be named Toyota Land Cruiser FJ and it will be much cheaper than the other models. Many people are also calling it “Mini Fortuner”.

How did it come into the discussion for the first time?

When the company released a teaser picture in 2023, in which a new model was also shown along with LC300, Prado and 70 Series, since then the discussion about this new SUV started. After that a trademark was also filed in the name “Land Cruiser FJ”, which further increased the expectations.

What could be its design?

So far Toyota has not given any concrete information about its design, but from the picture that came out, it is being speculated that its look will be very strong and tall. It will have bigger tires, more ground clearance and a spare wheel at the rear. Overall, it will look like a tough SUV made for off-road driving.

How big will this model be?

It is being told that the length of the Land Cruiser FJ will be around 4.5 meters and its wheelbase can be around 2750mm. These figures match foreign SUV models like Toyota Corolla Cross. It will be built on the IMV 0 platform, which is also used in Toyota Hilux Champ. This means that the SUV will be strong but the price will not be kept high.

Engine and power information

Toyota can give a 2.7-liter petrol engine in it, which will give a power of about 161 bhp and a torque of 246 Nm. It will get a 6-speed automatic gearbox and it can come with a 4WD system. Its hybrid version can also be introduced in some countries, although the company has not said anything clearly about this yet.

Will it be launched in India?

No information has been given by the company about India yet. But looking at the ever-increasing prices of Fortuner, it can be said that an affordable, strong and 4WD SUV can be quite a choice in a market like India. If Toyota brings it to India, it can attract a lot of mid-segment SUV buyers.
