Indian families still have faith in 7-seater vehicles for their convenience and versatility. June 2025 also brought a confusing pattern of sales, wherein certain models increased while others lagged behind. From established stalwarts to fresh faces, this compilation indicates which 7-seaters left the strongest impression last month.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
Again, Ertiga topped the 7-seater sales list. It retail 14,151 units in June 2025. That being said, this was 11% less than June this time last year. Even with the decline, its high demand kept it at the number one spot.
Mahindra Scorpio
Scorpio was second with 12,740 units retailed. This represented a 4% year-on-year growth. The Scorpio N and Scorpio Classic both remained popular. Combined, they supported the marque in recording impressive momentum.
Toyota Innova
Innova, which is reliable and comfortable, secured third place. Toyota had sold 8,802 units during last month. This was a decline of 6% from June 2024 but still a top picker in the premium MPV category.

Kia Carens
Kia Carens recorded the highest sales jump. It increased by 54% year-over-year at 7,921 units. This increase may be attributed to the rising curiosity about the new Carens Clavis ICE model. Kia is also gearing up to introduce the Clavis EV in the near future.
Mahindra Bolero
Bolero retained its robustness in rural markets with consistent performance. It achieved 7,478 units, a 2% increase year-on-year. Its sturdy construction and value-for-money factor continue to make it relevant across much of India.
Mahindra XUV700
XUV700 saw a 5% increase, closing June with 6,198 units sold. This three-row premium SUV has emerged as a strong Mahindra performer in its class.
Toyota Fortuner
Toyota Fortuner recorded a minor boost with 3% growth in sales. It closed the month at 2,743 units, indicating that the SUV remains relevant in its segment even with newer competitors.
Maruti Suzuki XL6
XL6 experienced a steep decline in sales. It sold only 2,011 units in June, down by 39% compared to last year. This indicates that consumers might be predisposed to other models in the same price bracket.
Toyota Rumion
Toyota Rumion sold 1,415 units, down 10% from last year. Though it’s a utilitarian MPV, it seems to be having a hard time finding consistent traction.
Tata Safari
Tata Safari ended the month of June with 922 units, down a steep 34% from June 2024. Despite the recent facelift, it seems the SUV is struggling to regain eyeballs in a super competitive market.
