Recently, the Eeco model has been designated as tax-free, following similar actions for SUVs such as the Brezza, Baleno, and Francox. Customers now have the opportunity to purchase the most affordable seven-seater Eeco through the Canteen Stores Department (CSD).

The vehicle is offered at a reduced price via CSD, commonly known as the canteen, where goods are sold at lower tax rates for military personnel. It is important to note that when purchasing a vehicle from CSD, buyers are required to pay only 14% tax instead of the standard 28% GST.

The ex-showroom price of the Maruti Suzuki Eeco is set at Rs 5.33 lakh, while it can be acquired for Rs 4,49,657 through CSD. This tax reduction results in a price decrease of up to Rs 82,343 for this model. Similarly, the ex-showroom price for the 7 STR STD variant is Rs 5,61,000, but it can be purchased for Rs 4,75,565 at CSD, leading to a tax saving of up to Rs 85,435. Depending on the variant, tax savings on the Eeco can reach as high as Rs 96,339.
