Tata Motors is stepping up its game in the compact SUV space. With growing demand and rising competition, the brand is gearing up for a fresh wave of launches. These upcoming models are expected to combine new features, updated designs, and broader options for buyers. Let’s take a closer look at what’s coming.
Tata Punch & Punch EV Facelifts
Tata is preparing mid-life updates for both the petrol and electric versions of the Punch. Camouflaged test vehicles have already been spotted on Indian roads. The petrol Punch is likely to retain its 1.2-litre engine, but design changes and added features will make it feel new. The Punch EV, on the other hand, may borrow several upgrades from the Nexon EV. A bigger battery pack and longer driving range are also expected, which could give it an edge in its segment.
Tata Scarlet
A new SUV under 4 meters, codenamed Scarlet, is in the works. This model will reflect the Sierra’s boxy and upright look, but in a smaller and more city-friendly form. It’s being designed to attract buyers who prefer a rugged stance in a compact package. With Scarlet, Tata aims to offer something fresh and bold in its lineup.
Next-Gen Tata Nexon & New Nexon EV
Work is moving ahead on the next-generation Nexon and its electric sibling. The third-gen Nexon, known internally as Garud, will come with major changes. It will use an updated version of the current platform and feature a completely new design inside and out. The Nexon EV is also expected to follow a similar path, likely getting improved features and performance to stay ahead of rivals.
