Tata Harrier EV

Tata Motors has recently introduced the all-new Harrier EV in India, priced from ₹21.49 lakh to ₹30.23 lakh (ex-showroom). The electric SUV is offered in several variants, and dispatches have already begun across the dealerships. The vehicle went on sale for bookings on July 2 through Tata’s online portal and dealerships, and it crossed over 10,000 bookings on the very first day.

Battery Range

Harrier EV is offered with a 65 kWh as well as a 75 kWh battery pack. The 65 kWh variant is offered in Adventure, Adventure S, and Fearless+ trims. Tata says the real-world driving range of this electric SUV is 505 km. The variants are all based on Tata’s new Acti.ev+ architecture that promises improved efficiency and drive dynamics.

Variants Motor Setup

The 65 kWh models have a rear-wheel drive configuration that is driven by a permanent magnet synchronous motor outputting 238 PS and 315 Nm of torque. The all-wheel-drive variants, however, are equipped with two motors: an induction motor for the front and a PMS motor at the back that together output 504 Nm of torque.

Drive Modes and Features

Rear-wheel-drive trims are equipped with Eco, City, and Sport drive modes, while AWD trim models also have a unique Boost mode. Another highlight of the Harrier EV is the use of Samsung’s QLED screen for the touchscreen, lending a touch of luxury to the interior. The SUV has a water wading depth capability of up to 600 mm and 47% maximum gradeability, making it capable on uneven terrain.

Safety and Platform

Safety has been given utmost importance in the Harrier EV, featuring six airbags, all-wheel disc brakes, and tyre pressure monitoring system as standard on all versions. It is based on Tata’s Acti.ev+ architecture, which has been specifically developed for EVs, providing it with improved space management and overall structural stiffness.

Offer for Existing Tata EV Owners

Tata is providing a ₹1 lakh loyalty advantage to existing Tata EV owners who would like to shift to the new Harrier EV. This time-limited promotion provides early adopters with an enriching experience to move to a more spacious, premium electric SUV while paying a lot less.
