Tata Altroz PURE: Tata Motors is redefining the premium hatchback segment once again with the new facelift of its Altroz. The PURE variant of this line is making waves for all the right reasons. It finds a balance between basic features and an aggressive price point, which makes it an intelligent choice for frugal buyers who do not wish to settle for functionality or aesthetics.

Exterior Design and Features

Altroz facelift PURE variant borrows styling cues from its elder brothers except for a few premium touches. It has LED headlamps with auto function, LED DRLs along with turn signals, a sportier grille and a cleaner lower bumper with black finish. While it lacks front camera and fog lamps, yet it has quite good styling touches.

Rear Profile and Boot Function

The PURE model has LED tail lights, but not the connected LED strip found in the upper models. Functional features such as two rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and a high-mounted stop lamp are available. The spoiler has piano black finish on the extremities, adding to its sporty appearance.

Boot space is highly practical—345 litres in the petrol/diesel models and 210 litres in the CNG model. Lack of a parcel tray is partially offset by two cargo hooks that carry 3 kg each. Rear bench folding provides extra flexibility for extra luggage space.

Interior Highlights

Within, the PURE variant keeps Tata’s practicality. It has fabric upholstery with contrast stitch, a manual driver seat adjustment, and front headrests with height adjust. Doors open wide to 90°, making entry and exit convenient.

It comes with a 7-inch Harman touchscreen infotainment system, 4-speaker system, steering-mounted controls, digital MID with a 4-inch display, and auto climate control. The other smart add-ons include a cruise control system and antiglare IRVM. The cabin itself looks contemporary enough for daily use, even if it does lack some of the premium niceties of higher variants.

Safety Features

Altroz facelift PURE variant doesn’t cut it when it comes to safety. It comes with 6 airbags and electronic stability control (ESP), which provides reassurance for both city and highway driving. These are enough to make it an enticing package even without top-spec creature comforts.

Engine Options and Pricing

What really stands out about this variant is its availability with all powertrain options. The 1.2L petrol motor is good for 88 PS and is available with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT transmission for ₹7.69 lakh and ₹8.29 lakh respectively. The CNG variant makes 73.5 PS and is available with a manual transmission for ₹8.79 lakh. Diesel enthusiasts can opt for the 90 PS 1.5L motor with a 5-speed manual transmission for ₹8.99 lakh.
