Tata Motors June Sales: India’s automobile market experienced some fluctuations this June. Overall sales dipped, but a few companies fared well due to robust demand in specific segments. Find out how top automakers fared in June, reflecting shifting buyer preferences in the Indian automobile market.

Maruti Holds Top Spot

Maruti Suzuki once again remained at the number one position in June, selling 1,18,906 units. This, however, was 13.31% less than June 2024, when Maruti sold 1,37,160 units. Despite this fall, the fact that Maruti maintains the number one position indicates how popular it remains with Indian customers.

Mahindra Displays Strong Growth

Mahindra performed impressively in June. Thanks to rising demand for its SUVs, Mahindra sold 47,306 cars, up 18.20% from 40,022 units last year. This helped Mahindra move ahead of Tata Motors in monthly sales.

Hyundai Faces a Dip

Hyundai’s numbers dropped in June. The company sold 44,024 vehicles, down from 50,103 a year ago. This marks a 12.13% decline, making it one of the brands that lost momentum this month.

Tata Motors Sales Decline

Tata Motors also experienced its sales decline. Tata sold 37,083 cars in June against 43,527 cars in the previous year, a decline of 14.80%. Though increased features and robust products failed to benefit the brand as it experienced some slowdown.

Toyota Retains Pace

Toyota had a consistent month with 26,453 units sold. This was slightly more than the 25,752 cars sold in the previous year and reflected a 2.72% increase.

MG Motor Impresses

MG Motor experienced strong growth, with 5,829 units sold, which is 25.52% higher than last year’s 4,644 units.

Skoda Doubles Its Sales

Skoda experienced the largest increase in June. It sold 5,014 units, nearly twice the 2,566 vehicles sold last year. This increase of 95.40% is a victory for the company.

Citroen Makes a Comeback

Citroen experienced a steep increase in sales. The company sold 610 cars this June, as opposed to 339 last year, a robust growth of close to 80%.
