Nissan has introduced the new Magnite Kuro Edition in India at ₹8.30 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With its sophisticated dark appearance and enhanced interior perception, this limited version can now be booked at a mere ₹11,000. Targeted at customers who appreciate aggressive styling and added functionality, the Kuro Edition brings a new dimension to the subcompact SUV range without altering performance specifications.

Exterior Highlights

The term ‘Kuro’ is Japanese for ‘black’, and this trim hews to its namesake with an all-blacked-out appearance. It boasts a piano black front grille, gloss black roof rails, black door handles, and resin black skid plates at the front and rear. It also carries a distinctive ‘Kuro’ badge mounted directly below the Magnite logo on the fender. Complementing the styling are 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and a new Metallic Grey body color. LED headlamps with Lightsaber-style turn indicators add to its razor-sharp presence.

Interior & Cabin

Inside, the cabin has an all-black decor which makes it feel luxurious. Piano black inserts are well-positioned throughout the gear shift panel, door trims, sun visors, and the steering wheel. Midnight black is used on the dashboard to give the entire visual experience a boost. A sable black wireless charger is fitted as a standard feature, while a stealth dash cam is provided as an accessory for utility and safety purposes.

Smart Features

The Kuro Edition features Nissan’s i-Key system with approach unlock and walk-away auto-lock, which is more convenient to use in day-to-day life. Purchasers can browse and customize the car online using Nissan’s 3D configurator, providing a digital experience of the model using realistic images and feature guides.

Safety Ratings

Magnite Kuro Edition is based on the CMF-A+ platform and has recently been awarded a 5-star Global NCAP crash test rating. It comes equipped with more than 40 standard safety features like six airbags, electronic stability control, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, ABS with EBD, hill start assist, and a strong frame made of 67% high-tensile steel. All these features make it one of the safest vehicles in its segment.

Engine Options

The new edition is available with the same options of engines as the regular model, that is a naturally aspirated petrol and a turbocharged petrol unit. However, no performance upgrade has come with this edition, though; it still offers the balanced drive experience without affecting efficiency or power.
