Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner 2026 – Whenever a Fortuner passes on the road, people look at it once. This is the hallmark of strong road presence and strong body. Now imagine, how much can the picture change when its next generation model arrives? Recently the Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner has been spotted in Thailand for the first time during testing, and this clearly indicates that the company is about to make a big change, not just the facelift but the entire generation update.
Design
The biggest change in front design can look like a split-headlamp layout. Slim LED DRLs on top and main headlamp unit below This style follows Toyota’s new global design language.
The grill is already visible, and the bumpers have also been redesigned. Fog lamps are integrated downward, making the front profile look more aggressive.

If you talk about the rear profile, it looks more square and boxy than before. The design of the taillamps has been completely concealed, but there are indications that these may be in slim and wraparound style, with it possible to be attached to a light bar.
Interior and Features
Let me tell you that the cabin did not look clean in the spy images, but it is expected that a big change will be seen inside. Inspired by the new Hilux, it can feature a full digital driver display and a 12.3-inch large touchscreen infotainment system.
Spy shots feature ADAS modules in the lower bumpers and cameras behind the windscreen. This means that Toyota Safety Sense will now also come to Fortuner.
Features such as Level 2 ADAS, 360-degree camera, wireless charging, ventilated and powered front seats, dual 12.3-inch display and sunroof can be found according to variants. Also, over-the-air updates and improved connectivity can be facilitated.
Engine and performance
As far as engines are concerned, 2.7-liter petrol and 2.8-liter diesel engines can continue in India and other global markets. The 2.8-liter diesel is likely to have a 48V mild-hybrid system, as seen in the Neo Drive version.

Both engines can come with a 6-speed manual and torque converter automatic gearbox. A 4-wheel drive system will also be found in select variants.
Launch
If we talk about the launch, let me tell you that its testing has started and many parts of the design have come out. This suggests that development is on the advance stage. Global debut may take place by mid-2026, while its launch in India is possible in late 2026 or early 2027.
