Now, the first glimpse of the Mahindra Scorpio N Facelift, known as the SUV’s “Big Daddy,” has surfaced. The new-generation Scorpio, slated for launch in 2022, is now ready for its mid-cycle update. Caught on camera during testing near Ambala, the new Scorpio N is expected to launch in early or mid-2026, with a preview expected at the 2026 India Mobility Auto Expo. Since the Scorpio N is one of India’s most popular mid-size SUVs, both existing owners and new buyers are eagerly awaiting this feature-loaded new model.

Mahindra may make significant changes to the design this time around, giving it an even more rugged look. On the outside, it could get a new grille, updated LED headlights, and a unique DRL design, making it appear even more powerful than before.
The biggest feature update
The biggest update could be a highly sought-after feature in this segment – a panoramic sunroof! If this feature is added, it will give the Scorpio N a leg up on its competitors.
Safety
The Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), currently available only in the top-spec model, could now be available in several other variants to further enhance safety.
The interior will be high-tech, and the engine will be improved
The interior of the new Scorpio N is likely to be even more technologically advanced than before. It is likely to include a large touchscreen infotainment system and a fully digital TFT instrument cluster, completely transforming the driving experience. Keeping comfort paramount, features like ventilated seats (especially for the captain seats in the 6-seater version) and a premium Harman Kardon sound system could also be added.
Engine and Performance
In terms of engines, the company may retain its old but powerful engines: a 2.0-liter turbo petrol and a 2.2-liter diesel. Both engines will be available with manual and automatic transmissions, as well as 4WD (four-wheel drive) options. However, Mahindra may tune them to make them smoother, quieter, and offer better throttle response, which will significantly increase driving pleasure.
