Maruti’s WagonR, long known as the brand’s bestselling hatchback, has once again captured attention — this time with a massive price cut. Aimed at boosting sales, the company has introduced a limited-time offer valid through June. With a starting ex-showroom price of ₹5.64 lakh, buyers can now enjoy up to ₹1.05 lakh in total benefits.
Discount Offers on WagonR in June 2025
Maruti is giving various forms of discounts to entice customers this month. The overall discount contains cash advantage, exchange bonus, upgrade bonus, scrap bonus, and corporate discount. The highest advantage of ₹1.05 lakh can be availed on the petrol-AMT model of the old WagonR with dual airbags.
The new 6-airbag WagonR AMT and the petrol-manual or CNG models with dual airbags are valid for a cash discount of ₹40,000. If you choose the 6-airbag WagonR in petrol-manual or AMT variant, you can get a total benefit of up to ₹95,000. Customers must know that either exchange or scrap bonus can be availed, not both.
Variants and Pricing
WagonR is available at between ₹5.64 lakh and ₹7.35 lakh (ex-showroom). Out of the variants, the petrol-AMT variant receives the most discount in the month. This move is likely to provide the model with an uptick in sales, particularly after it sold 13,949 units in May alone.
Features and Safety
WagonR still provides an even balance of features and practicality. Some of the major highlights are a 7-inch SmartPlay Studio touch screen infotainment system with navigation, cloud-based functions, dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, and reverse parking sensors. AMT variants also provide hill-hold assist. Other features such as a semi-digital instrument cluster, controls on the steering, and four speakers further add to the driving experience.
Engine and Mileage
The WagonR is driven by two petrol engine variants — a 1.0-liter three-cylinder and a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine, both of which boast DualJet Dual VVT tech. The 1.0-liter model returns a fuel efficiency of 25.19 kmpl, and the 1.2-liter model returns 24.43 kmpl in AGS trims. The CNG model, present in LXI and VXI trims, returns a whopping mileage of 34.05 km/kg and is an attractive option for fuel-hungry buyers.
