Maruti Suzuki has launched its most popular Dzire sedan in a hybrid variant. However, this vehicle has been introduced in the Philippines for the time being. If reports are to be believed, it is likely to be launched in the Indian market in the coming days. This hybrid car can be purchased in GL and GLX variants.
The starting price of Maruti Suzuki Dzire Hybrid in the Philippines market has been kept at PHP 998,000 (approximately Rs 13.9 lakh). At the same time, its top end variant has been priced at PHP 998,000 (approximately Rs 15.08 lakh). Apart from the hybrid powertrain setup, most of the features and specifications of the Dzire are based on the India spec VXI and ZXI.
Maruti Suzuki Dzire Hybrid Engine
The Philippines spec Maruti Dzire uses a 1.2-liter, inline-3 gasoline engine. A 12-volt hybrid system has been added to it, whose total power output is 82bhp and 112 Nm. A CVT gearbox facility is available with this power setup.
Maruti Dzire Hybrid Specifications
The new Dzire Hybrid has been designed according to the Philippines market, due to which a left-hand drive setup is seen in it. Apart from this, some new color options have also been added. However, the India spec Dzire has a sunroof facility, which is not in the Philippines model.

Talking about the Maruti Dzire sold in the Indian market, its price starts from ₹ 6.84 lakh ex-showroom. This sedan is available in petrol and CNG options and is capable of giving a maximum mileage of up to 35 km/kg.
Engine and Mileage
The India spec Maruti Dzire comes with a 1.2 liter, 3-cylinder Z-series petrol engine with 5-speed manual and automatic transmission. Its petrol model gives a maximum mileage of 25.71 km/l. According to reports, the mileage of Dzire Hybrid is likely to be around 35 km/l.
Safety
Maruti Suzuki Dzire has already received a 5-star safety rating in the GNCAP crash test. Features like ESP with 6 airbags, ABS with EBD, hill hold assist, brake assist, 3-point seat belts for all seats are standard in it.
