Maruti Invicto Facelift (1)
The Toyota and Maruti Suzuki partnership has delivered one superhit car after another to the Indian car market. Models like the Grand Vitara, Hyrider, and Innova Highcross have shattered sales records. Meanwhile, one luxury 7-seater car sold from Maruti’s premium Nexa showrooms has always remained somewhat out of the spotlight: the Maruti Invicto.
To give this hidden gem a new lease of life, the company is making a big bet on the upcoming Maruti Invicto Facelift. Featuring ADAS Level-2 safety, ottoman seats, and new options for a highly economical petrol engine, this new-gen premium MPV is poised to directly capture the market of the Mahindra XUV700 and Tata Safari.
Look and Design

The current Maruti Invicto largely resembles the Toyota Innova Highcross, but this time, with the upcoming facelift, Maruti is aiming to give it a completely different and aggressive identity. Its exterior will receive several cosmetic changes that will significantly enhance its road presence.
At the front of this new luxury MPV, you’ll see a completely redesigned three-pod LED surround grille, a muscular front bumper, and sharp-looking headlamps. The most noticeable change will be its wheels, where the existing smaller alloy wheels will be replaced with larger, sportier 19-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The rear will also feature a new connected LED taillight bar and some vibrant color options, giving it a more premium and modern SUV stance.
Cabin and Features
Maruti is fully addressing some of the key features that were lacking in the cabin compared to the Toyota Innova Highcross in the current model. Its cabin will feel like a luxurious lounge. The existing 10.1-inch display on the dashboard will now be replaced by a larger touchscreen infotainment system, tuned to JBL’s premium surround sound speaker system.
Spectacular Ottoman rear seats will be added, providing legroom for middle-row passengers. Furthermore, both the front and rear seats will now feature ventilation and cooling functions. For enhanced safety, the car will now feature a robust Level-2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System). Additionally, a 360-degree camera, wireless charging, a large panoramic sunroof, and six airbags as standard will be key components of this luxury package.
Powertrain and Gearbox
Currently, the Maruti Invicto comes with only one option: a 2.0-liter Strong Hybrid petrol engine, which, paired with an e-CVT automatic gearbox, delivers a robust mileage of 23.24 km/l. Since hybrid technology is quite expensive, the vehicle’s starting price is quite high, and there’s no base model.
To address this issue and bring the vehicle’s starting price within the budget of ordinary customers, Maruti could make a major strategic shift with this facelift. The company could now add an affordable 2.0-liter naturally aspirated (NA) petrol engine to the Invicto.
This new engine could also offer customers the option of a conventional CVT automatic and a smooth 6-speed manual gearbox for increased driving comfort, significantly reducing maintenance and purchase costs.

Price and India Launch
Maruti Suzuki is planning a breakthrough on the pricing front. The current Invicto’s on-road price starts at around ₹30 lakh and goes up to ₹34 lakh in cities like Mumbai. But with the addition of new affordable petrol variants, the upcoming Maruti Invicto Facelift is expected to start at around ₹25 lakh, while the fully loaded top-end variant could go up to ₹36 lakh (on-road).
As far as the India launch timeline is concerned, customers will have to wait a little longer. Since Maruti is currently working rapidly on developing its own in-house hybrid technology and flex-fuel engines, the luxury MPV facelift could hit Indian showrooms by early or mid-2028.
